Andrew Ward acquires The New Inn in Durham

Andrew Ward expanded his Durham leisure portfolio with the acquisition of The New Inn on Stockton Road in a six-figure deal.

Located directly opposite Durham University, the well-established pub occupies a prominent position and has long served both the city’s student population and local residents.

The acquisition added The New Inn to an existing portfolio of Durham venues, which at the time included The Elm Tree, The Angel and The John Duck, reflecting a long-standing focus on acquiring well-located leisure properties across the city.
